A wedding at Stone Tower Winery

Sara and Prashanth were married at Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, VA on an unusually mild August afternoon. I had my longtime friend Amie Otto along for the day so that we could split coverage of Sara and Prashanth’s wedding preparations. Sara did the majority of her getting ready nearby at the lovely Salamander Resort, while Prashanth got ready on site at Stone Tower. The couple opted for a first look so that they could enjoy more time with their guests after the ceremony. We still managed to sneak out for some gorgeous sunset pics during the cocktail hour before the two partied the night away.
One of my favorite things about the first look is the anticipation on both the bride and groom’s face. While it always looks different, it never disappoints.
While planning your wedding day timeline, think about adding a few minutes to sneak away during peak sunset. It could take as little as 5-10 minutes, but can yield such beautiful results.
